Accessibility statement

A service designed to be usable.

AK-LABS aims to make its website and future booking information clear, readable and operable across common devices and assistive technology.

Current measures

  • Semantic headings and labelled navigation.
  • Keyboard-visible focus and a skip link on the homepage.
  • Responsive layouts for desktop and smaller screens.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Plain-language explanations and avoidance of colour as the only information cue.
  • Reduced-motion support where the device preference requests it.

Known limitations

The current site is pre-launch and has not yet undergone a complete independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit. The future booking, payment and secure-results platforms are not yet selected and therefore are outside the scope of this statement. AK-LABS does not claim formal conformance until testing is complete.

Reasonable adjustments

Before launch, the clinic page will explain physical access, seating, communication options and how to request a reasonable adjustment. Alternative booking assistance and accessible formats will be provided where reasonably practicable.

Requesting an alternative

If information is difficult to access, email clinic@ak-labs.co.uk and describe the format or adjustment that would help. Do not include medical information in ordinary email.

Reporting a problem

Please identify the page, device or assistive technology involved and the problem encountered. AK-LABS will use the report to prioritise a practical fix. The statement will show the most recent test date and conformance position after the final systems are in place.
