Laboratory pathway
The final laboratory partner, service responsibilities, transport route, turnaround, failed-sample process, critical-result responsibilities and data arrangements will be stated before booking.
Accreditation
Where laboratory accreditation is described, AK-LABS will verify the relevant laboratory and the activities or tests within its accredited schedule. Accreditation will not be presented as automatically covering every assay or the clinic itself.
CQC position
The applicable registration scope for the final service model is being confirmed. AK-LABS will not provide a regulated activity until the required provider and location registrations are in place. Once confirmed, the website will link to the correct public registration record and display any rating where legally required.
Clinical professionals
Every clinician and practitioner will be named with their relevant professional registration, role, scope and insurance before their service can be booked. The website will distinguish collection, laboratory analysis, report release and clinical review responsibilities.
Governance
Consent, identity, infection prevention, sample identification, incident reporting, safeguarding, critical-result escalation, complaints, data protection and business-continuity arrangements will be documented and assigned to accountable people before launch.
Registration and accreditation apply to defined organisations, locations and scopes. Publishing those claims before the contracts and registrations are verified would be misleading.
